Hodge Theory and Birational Geometry Conference Summary

ICMS and IMSA will host Hodge Theory and Birational Geometry from December 7–11, 2026, at ICMS-Sofia in Bulgaria. The conference will bring together leading researchers in Hodge theory, birational geometry, and related areas for a program of talks and courses highlighting recent developments in the field.
The event will be followed by a special conference on December 11–12, 2026, celebrating Julian Revalski’s 70th birthday. The conference is sponsored by the Simons Foundation, the National Science Foundation, ICMS, and the University of Miami.

Research and Leadership: Conference in Honour of Julian Revalski's 70th Birthday Summary

The aim of the conference is to commemorate the outstanding achievements and profound personal impact of Professor Julian Revalski, as well as to highlight cutting-edge research in mathematics and to provide a platform for scientific exchange among colleagues and institutions. In celebration of Julian Revalski’s 70th birthday and in honour of his contributions to mathematics and to developing the role of science in society, this event brings together colleagues, friends, and collaborators to pay tribute to his dedicated service to the scientific community and his influential research.

The event is jointly organized by the International Center for Mathematical Sciences (ICMS–Sofia) at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and the Institute for the Mathematical Sciences of the Americas (IMSA) at the University of Miami.
