José Adem Prize 2026
The José Adem Prize for Mathematical Research in Mexico 2026 is open for nominations. Created by the Mexican Academy of Sciences and IMSA, with support from the Simons Foundation and the Mexican Mathematical Society, the biennial prize recognizes outstanding mathematicians based in Mexico. IMSA plays a key role in coordinating the nomination process, with nominations submitted through the IMSA website. The deadline is June 15, 2026.

Interviews HMS 2026: Perspectives on the Theory of Atoms and Cubic Fourfolds
During the HMS 2026 conference, leading mathematicians shared reflections on recent developments in algebraic geometry, particularly the proof of the non-rationality of the generic four-dimensional cubic and the emerging role of the theory of atoms.
In a series of short interviews, distinguished researchers including Claire Voisin, Maxim Kontsevich, and Phillip Griffiths discuss the significance of these breakthroughs and their potential implications for future work in the field. The conversations highlight both the mathematical ideas behind these advances and the broader directions they may inspire in algebraic geometry.
