Mathematical Waves, Conference and Prizes
A committee of world renowned mathematicians will award three prizes to leading Latin American mathematicians. The deadline for the nomination is: Monday, December 2nd, 2024 (EST Time, US)


SBM President Attends Lunch in Honor of Italian President
Jaqueline Godoy Mesquita attended a luncheon on July 15, 2024, at the Itamaraty Palace, honoring Italian President Sergio Mattarella and celebrating her contributions to Brazil-Italy relations in mathematical sciences. The event also marked 150 years of Italian immigration to Brazil, with several notable figures in attendance.


IMSA at ICMAT: New Mathematical Collaboration Program between Spain and Latin America presented
The launch of the program took place on April 24, with a presentation event held at the ICMAT that featured interventions by José María Martell, vice president of Scientific and Technical Research of the CSIC; Javier Aramayona, director of ICMAT; Ludmil Katzarkov, director of IMSA (University of Miami); and Yuri Tschinkel, director of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the Simons Foundation.
